Off to Ghana in Three Days

For those who have not heard yet, I am finally headed to Africa after listening to great stories from friends and wanting to go visit myself. I depart for Accra, Ghana on Thursday, June 5 and will return to the States on Friday, June 20. The trip is through ACPA (American College Personnel Association), which is a national professional organization for college student affairs professionals. The cultural study tour includes visits to local universities to learn about the education system in Ghana. In addition, we will be traveling a large portion of the countryside and learning about the culture throughout Ghana. There are 12 individuals partaking in the trip and we will all meet up for the first time Thursday at JFK. It is a very exciting and wonderful opportunity. If time and access permits throughout the trip, I will try to post updates and stories. When I return and things settle down a bit, I will post more thoughts and stories as well as lots of pictures. Life has been crazy and busy the last few weeks, months. I promise more to come on all of that soon. Until then hopefully, I will post a few times about my trip to Ghana while I am overseas. Have a wonderful June!
