10 weeks until I hit 2 years of attempted weight loss and getting in shape. As of now, I am down 20 lbs and praying that I will be able to maintain the continued weight loss. Thanks for sticking with me over these almost 2 years especially with the lack of communication over the past few months.

Life has been on a new adventure as I transitioned jobs/careers and living location which is still being figured out. Therefore, my eating and workout habits are very erratic and uncertain. In addition, the new job requires a lot of travel making things even more interesting in working to maintain a workout/stretching schedule and decent eating habits.

As the last post mentioned, I have measurements as of March but would like to put them together in a nice spreadsheet for comparison. Hopefully, I can take care of that in the near future though I will not in months ahead be able to do provide BMI data as I no longer have access to the equipment.

Thanks again for sticking with me. Lets see what happens at the end of 2 years. Though, I will have to update the week after since I will not have access to a scale at the first part of July.

Unsure why weight was so high on Monday morning. It has been consistently around 210 the past several weeks though I have not reported and when I went to the gym later in the day and weighed in it was consistent with what I had been weighing previously at the gym.

Last week, I went and had blood work done. I am excited to say my Cholesterol numbers are much better all around and my A1C stayed about the same.

A good week even though I only worked out on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. I did stretch on Wednesday but no workout.

Saturday was a gorgeous day. Therefore, I went for a hike in Yellowwood State Forest in Indiana. My friend and I hiked about 5.5 miles. Not sure the exact time or miles as the MapMyFitness app loss connection for part of the hike as it has us going straight through the lake. The lake was slightly frozen but I don't think frozen enough to walk through the middle especially since the temps were in the mid-50s Saturday.

I had a few more blocks of walking both Saturday and Sunday walking to get some dinner & brunch.

My feet are still bothering me though not quite as painful as in the past. The calves are sore from Friday's workout plus the hiking. Overall muscles are tight.

We will see how I am really doing next week as it will be time to take measurements again.

Wow...time flies faster and faster. Between celebrating my birthday and the holidays, I got lost and have done a terrible job of posting updates. Though I have not posted, I have been weighing myself almost every week and things seem to go up and down in a general range. Though I do find it interesting that my weight on the scale at work is about 6 lbs lighter than what I am weighing in at home in the morning. These weights are those from the scale at home, not work for consistency purposes.

I can say this though the weight is not dropping the inches around the waist and hips are. Next month, I will get the measurements and post an update.

I have also started at least trying to workout 5 times a week versus 3. It is about 1/2 hour workout that consists of arm, shoulder, leg, hip, and sometimes abs and cardio workouts. I try not to sweat too much so I don't have to take a shower at work. After the workout, I then spend about 1/2 hour stretching. Some workouts about kill me like the one Tuesday before New Years in which I was still very sore in the legs New Years Eve into the New Year.

Thankfully I have not greatly injured myself either with just general walking. Twice since the last post I have fallen and the last one was quite painful and left a very large black, blue, and purple bruise on my backside.

After a slight absence, I have returned and living life in Africa for three weeks apparently did not transpire into any weight loss at least not according to the scales on Monday in my house. Now when I got on the scale at work for my monthly weigh-in, I was down to 205 over 216 before I left. That definitely was an improvement if the scale was right. My body fat numbers were also down a bit though not sure exactly.

Yes, I ventured off to the northeastern parts of Africa, Ethiopia & Egypt, for a few weeks. It was a very nice adventure. I did a lot of walking, sightseeing, and exploring. We saw the pyramids and Sphinx, road and ate camel, walked about 6 miles one day touring an old historical city in Ethiopia. Those are probably some of the highlights.

It was 8 or 7 hrs ahead depending on which country I was in. Upon return, I have been struggling to stay awake past 9 pm though have done it a few nights like tonight. I am rather tired but currently succeeding in staying awake, but about 4 hrs ago I was ready to go to sleep.

Hopefully, I can get back on schedule and back to working out and trying to lose some more weight.

Slightly delayed but after going up last week, I was done below 210 this week. Maybe by the time I return from my safari in December, I will be down below 200. Mentioning of a safari, I will try to post an update next week and then you definitely will not see another update until at least the first Monday of December. I will share more on my return.

Last week, I played basketball on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday I had a bad fall again and hit my head against the asphalt. It actually didn't end up bothering me as much as scraping and bruising my right elbow. My feet have been bothering me again and so are my knees. I think a lot of that has to do with the basketball and the ankle braces in the shoes. Also, I have not been doing as many hip exercises of recent so this week hopefully I can get that going again.

I raced the past three weekends as well which meant a lot of time up on my feet.

Wow so six weeks have passed since I last blogged. I am not totally sure where the past 6 weeks have gone but I do know a bit.

The first week ran into Labor Day weekend in which I went home to see the family and raced on Sunday with the Western KY folks, which was a lot of fun.

The next weekend was Family Camp with church. I did a lot of walking/hiking, went for a swing on the giant swing, worked on my archery skills, and had a ride on the back of a horse. Overall a great weekend out in God's beauty.

The next weekend was sharing and preparing folks for our 2016 Guatemala trips and the start of packing. Yes, I said packing.

The rest of September was spent packing up my apartment to move. I am now living with a group of folks and most of my belongings are packed away until I decide the next step in life.

Amongst all of this, we have started another 3-on-3 basketball competition at work. My legs are holding out a lot better this time though falling on your rear end via the momentum of two guys hurts and continues to hurt especially when you spend the next week packing.

The first weekend of October was a weekend to catch up plus several church related events so not a ton of relaxation.

This past weekend was a full weekend that ended in Lexington with the boys and racing on Sunday. Racing on Sunday was magnificent as I raced in a borrowed Mustang and did quite well on my final run pulling out a 1st place in class, 23/46 in RAW, and 7 in PAX. I also beat out my co-driver also in a borrowed car on that last run.

Through all of this apparently, I am either not eating enough or getting enough workout that I have dropped a few pounds as of this morning. I was a bit surprised when I got on the scale this morning but I got on at work and it too was much lower than usual.

At the beginning of November, I took my measurements again. I was not down in any sizes but my body fat index was down a little over a point, which was exciting. We will see what another month brings.

I will try to get into a better routine of writing at least for a few more weeks before I leave for an extended vacation.

Wednesday - Arms & Hips, 5 mins on the treadmill, stretching

Thursday - Stretching

Friday - Hip exercises, a few arms, and 5 mins on the bike at level 5 (approx 1 mile) followed by stretching and rolling the side hip.

Saturday -  PT workout

Sunday - Walk around the KY State Fair eating fair food :) approximately 4 miles. Then we went and saw the Nina & Pinta at the Waterfront and probably walked another mile maybe.
