Last weekend, I spent on retreat with 14 high school students and 13 amazing young leaders. Bonds were made that will be shared for times to come, and retreat talks that will definitely resonate for a long time. A post hopefully to come in the near future as an update to Listening to God's Plan.
Another amazing part of last weekend was the time spent out in nature away from all the hustle and bustle of the westernized world. Enjoy a few pictures before reading on....
Thursday evening, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with a friend, BS, and her two adorable children, AS (7 years) and ES (almost 2 years). We had a lovely dinner and then enjoyed a wonderful time visiting and running some errands as I held little ES and played with AS. The other amazing thing is this gathering hopefully is just a start to a renewed friendship and fellowship with one another after many years of busy lives and miles apart.
Children always put such a smile on my face. How can they not? Another quick story from last weekend...Friday night, we stopped for dinner on our way to retreat and the youth ministers extended family joined us including one of his little nephews. He was such an adorable little thing having the best time with his uncle.
These were wonderful opportunities for me to spend/see some little ones, since I have not had the opportunity to see my friends and their twin boys in almost two months and unfortunately wont see them for few more weeks.
