Saturday Day Smiles Seis

Children and youth....Is there really a whole lot more to say about how they bring smiles to our lives?

It has been a week plus filled with children and youth having fun, laughing, and being their adorable selves. Yes, they are not always cute and charming, especially when you walk in the door and they start screaming.

Last weekend, I spent with friends and their twin 1-year plus boys. Who still like to scream and cry when I first walk in for the weekend, but this time thankfully they started warming up to me. On Saturday evening, P actually crawled over to me and allowed me to pick him up for dinner. They are adorable things that I have enjoyed watching grow and develop over the past year. Thanks to my friends for allowing me this joy and Saturday Smile!

Sunday evening, youth ministry kicked off the new school year and weekly high school drop-ins with a cookout and Super Sloppy Sunday games! The smiles on their faces, the fun they enjoyed, the fellowship that transpired made every moment priceless. Looking forward to digging into some spiritual and life discussions and having fun at future drop-ins and retreats this coming year.

Tuesday afternoon, I sat on my patio catching up on news feeds, emails, and working on retreat materials as the children in the complex played. Their innocence, carefree demeanor, and playfulness just brought a smile to my face.

What brought a smile to your face this week? Please share and also check out the Journal of Nobody's Saturday Smiles post.
