How often do you stop to give thanks and appreciation to those around you? Or do you just stop to share a thought or a hello with an old friend/acquaintance?
Over the past week plus, not once, twice, but thrice, I received a very nice personal thanks from others making me smile and almost cry once. All the thanks came from me just being me and sharing of my time, talent, or treasure for the good of others. There was nothing special about any of it besides my passion for leadership, faith, and helping guide the youth and young adults of tomorrow. Or my access to football tickets but inability to attend so sharing with others who would enjoy.
Through sharing and knowing the impact on others lives as well as my own, I already had been smiling as you have heard in previous Saturday Smiles posts. This just reminds me to continue making sure that I share with others what they mean to me. Because though unexpected knowing and feeling care from others is a wonderful feeling no matter the reason.
May your life be blessed this week with a kind gesture or hello from a friend, acquaintance, or colleague. May you reach out and touch someone's life as these people touched mine.
