The smiles for this week come from seeing the happiness, joy, and appreciation in others from small to larger gestures made by me and others and from the reminder about the importance of reaching out and not being selfish in our own lives. The reminder was a very important one for me as I recently have contemplated whether one can be too kind and friendly.
For those who know me well, you know that I constantly reach out to others to offer a kind word, share some delicious food, provide a helping hand, or just an ear to listen. Reaching out to others brings happiness, joy, and meaning to my life. It is a struggle for me when people do not appreciate kindness from others because they are too self-centered or concerned with their own progress over the success of the entire organization, country, and world. But thank God for the wonderful individuals He has put into this world to teach our youth and others about the importance of service, caring for others, and making change in today's global community.
How have you touched someone's life this week and brought a smile to their life? What has made you smile this week?
Enjoy Journal of a Nobody's Saturday Smiles as well!
